About:
Hi there! My name is Arianna, I’m 17, and I love to crochet. I’ve been diagnosed with Lyme disease, Sjögren’s syndrome, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), and Gastroparesis over the past 6 years.
Ever since COVID became a part of our world, and as my health became increasingly complicated, I started to feel isolated and restless being in my house 24/7. I experimented with acrylic and oil paints but found more fulfillment in crocheting. I started by crocheting plushies (think zebras, hippos, whales, birds, axolotls, cows, turtles, reindeer, etc) but recently I’ve really enjoyed making things like afghans, baby blankets, cardigans, sweater vests, flower bouquets, and little hearts!
I honestly love the process of crocheting something as much as the finished product, but my absolute favorite thing is knowing that my work might help someone feel less alone in their struggles.

Favorite Mediums
In the past I’ve enjoyed painting with acrylic and oil paints, but now I mostly crochet and create textile art (and I love it)!
What inspries Me
Textile artists on Instagram have been inspiring some of the things I’ve been making lately, but in general I’m inspired to create by the desire to have a positive impact on people’s lives.
